BP-X021, Building 830 Remote Baggage Screening Facility Improvements
Client: URS Corporation
Location: Orlando International Airport, Orlando, Florida
Project involves the design of a $28 million in-line EDS baggage screening facility to replace and upgrade the existing manual operation for screening bags from remote sources in Building 830. The 30% documents were delivered to the owner within 30 days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed.

BP-407, Loop Road Improvements QA/QC
Client: RS&H
Location: Orlando International Airport, Orlando, Florida
The project scope includes road widening, retaining wall modifications, signage improvements, and toll booth and associated canopy remodeling to accommodate modifications to the Rental Car A QTA project. The taxi and bus hold facilities are being relocated to alternate locations on the Airport. As part of the design-build team, BASE Consultants performed quality control/quality assurance on the design of all structural items including the sign structures and the retaining walls.

BP-385, West Landside Elevator Modifications
Client: Vision IV Architecture
Location: Orlando International Airport, Orlando, Florida
This $5 million project provides for the modernization of 14 passenger elevators and 3 service elevators at the Orlando International Airport, and includes new cab interior packages, controllers, hoistway doors, and related equipment. The structural scope included cutting new openings and infilling various existing openings in CMU and concrete walls. Daily operations of the elevators were maintained during the site investigation.
